Steel Flying Leads

Deep Down Inc. manufactures hydraulic, steel, optical, and electrical flying leads in any length specified by the customer. The bundled tubes are re-spooled and cut to the desired length. We attach the Moray® terminations and assist with the connections and welding of the bundled tubing. We also assist with the loose Moray® tubing as well as the MQC (Multiple Quick Connect Plate).

Our friendly and qualified personnel can cut and terminate all manufactured umbilical thermoplastic hoses, tie them together, and pull them into a protective hose. The hydraulic flying leads are then connected to the MQC plates for interfacing with the UTA’s and subsea equipment.

Deep Down Inc. can make LSFLs up to 10,000 feet long with as many tubes as needed. When installing flying leads through a field and around trees, the LSFLs with Moray® terminators, such as UTAs and manifolds, are recommended. If connecting two fields or a single tie back (without meandering inside and around the field), the infield umbilical with a compliant Moray® terminator is recommended.

Deep Down Inc. is now offering loose steel flying leads (LSFL) with electrical and optical cabler inclusive, or even separate steel, electrical and optical flying leads with your favorite connectors on the ends.
